Anthropogenic Influences on Water Quality and Biota of Great Lakes Coastal Wetlands, with an Eye towards Criteria Development

Citation:

TREBITZ, A. S. Anthropogenic Influences on Water Quality and Biota of Great Lakes Coastal Wetlands, with an Eye towards Criteria Development . Presented at Twin Ports Freshwater Folk, Duluth, MN, November 05, 2008.

Impact/Purpose:

Twin Ports Freshwater Folk is a group of folks in Duluth in the field of aquatics sciences and management that meets roughly monthly to network and hear about ongoing science projects. My talk to them will focus on how we might use the data collected from our Great Lakes wide wetland survey to approach developing nutrient and other criteria. I will spend some time discussing condition of wetlands in Lake Superior in particular, in order to stimulate discussion related to the ongoing efforts to develop delisting criteria for the lower St. Louis river system.
