Impact/Purpose:

to provide information

Description:

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) program evaluates the performance of innovative air, water, pollution prevention and monitoring technologies that have the potential to improve human health and the environment. This technology brief, Eductor Vapor Recovery Unit, contains a brief summary of the information obtained from the ETV Case Studies: Demonstrating Program Outcomes, Volume I (http://www.epa.gov/etv/pdfs/pubicatons/600r06001pv.pdf) and the verification report/statement. The technology brief contains a short description of the test technology, test description and results used for verifying the performance of the Eductor Vapor Recovery Unit manufactures by COMM Engineering, USA of Lafayette, Louisiana. This technology is designed to recover gas from storage tank vents and other low-pressure hydrocarbon vent sources for utilization or sale. EVRU is a closed-loop system designed to reduce or eliminate emissions of methane, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), hazardous air pollutants (HAPs), and other constituents present in vent gas. The technical brief also contains a brief summary on the potential outcomes that could be attributed to the verified technology.
