Description:

This presentation will cover the basics of what a storm water best management practices and focus on infiltration-type practices using the example of rain gardens. I will demonstrate how water moves through rain gardens with a simple hydrologic model and discuss ancillary benefits, limitations on performance in poorly-drained soils, and how one might go about designing these small-scale runoff best management practices.
