US Army Corps of Engineers public web site for the interagency (Federal-State) "Dredged material management Office (DMMO)" in San Francisco, CA. The DMMO evaluates all proposals for dredging and dredged material disposal in the San Francisco Bay area, under guidelines developed through the LTMS process (See LTMS). The DMMO directs sediment testing, and determines whether sediments proposed to be dredged are suitable for discharge at area disposal sites. This site includes copies of locally-developed sediment testing guideline documents, as well as links to related national guidance documents. The DMMO's public meeting dates, and minutes of past meetings, are also posted here.
