Description:

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) program evaluates the performance of innovative air, water, pollution prevention and monitoring technologies that have the potential to improve human health and the environment. This technology brief, Ambient Ammonia Monitors, contains a summary of the information obtained from the ETV verification reports/statements on Ambient Ammonia Sensors, (http://www.epa.gov/etv/verifications/vcenter1-30.html), and other sources (see references in tech brief). It contains a brief description of the seven ambient ammonia monitors, test description and results used for verifying the technology and potential outcomes on the use of these verified technologies as applied to animal feeding operations.
