KENT, M. L. AND J. W. FOURNIE. PARASITES OF FISH. 2nd edChapter 7, David G, Baker (ed.), Flynn's Parasites of Laboratory Animals. Blackwell Publishing, Malden, MA, , 69-116, (2007).
Description:
The intent of this chapter is to describe the parasites of importance to fishes maintained and used in laboratory settings. In contrast to the frist edition, the focus will be only on those parasites that pose a serious threat to or are common in fishes held in these confined environments. Parasites emphasized are those capable of spreading, proliferating, and causing significant disease in research facilities. For the most part, parasites that are contracted only in the wild are not addressed.
Purpose/Objective:
Requested chapter on fish parasites.
