Description:
Because of the importance of indoor air quality, Research Triangle Institute's Air Pollution Control Technology is adding indoor air products as a new technology category available for testing. This paper discusses RTI's participation in previous Environmental Technology Verification-related programs and the contributions of the test protocols from these programs to the new APCT test plan for products that clean or filter ventilation air. The programs were an indoor air products pilot, an ETV safe buildings air filtration technology, and an evaluation of biological inactivation efficience by heating and AC in-duct ultraviolet light systems. Results are presented for the UV light systems as models of results for future verifications.
