Description:

An alternative route to the preparation and formation of porous titania powders and carbon coated titania using microwave radiation is described. Inexpensive dextrose was chosen as capping agent or template in view of its high water solubility when compared to other sugar templates or capping agents and its combustible nature at low temperature.
