PBPK MODELING OF EARLY LIFE STAGES IN RODENTS

Citation:

BARTON, H. A. PBPK MODELING OF EARLY LIFE STAGES IN RODENTS. Presented at 22nd International Neurotoxicology Conference, Research Triangle Park, NC, September 11 - 14, 2005.

Impact/Purpose:

Current risk assessments based upon toxicity studies with multiple generations such as the developmental neurotoxicity (DNT), one- or two-generation reproductive/developmental, and in utero developmental studies rely on the exposure dose to the mother to define acceptable exposure levels for humans. Extrapolation of such studies to humans is dependent upon information about the window of susceptibility for observed effects, external exposures and pharmacokinetics for the compound during that window, and the toxicodynamic processes leading to the effects.

Description:

Abstract about current risk assessments based upon toxicity studies with multiple generations.
