Description:
SMARTe (Sustainable Management Approaches and Revitalization Tools-electronic) is a web-based decision support tool being developed by the Office of Research and Development (ORD) in partnership with the Office of Brownfields Cleanup and Revitalization (OBCR), the Interstate Technology Regulatory Council (ITRC) and the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF). SMARTe is intended to allow revitalization stakeholders to evaluate future reuse options for a potentially contaminated site. It is being developed in an overlapping phased approach. Electronic tools are being released as thye are developed, even though the full decision support capability will not be available until October 2007. SMARTe is intended for all stakeholders with varying levels and types of expertise.
