Description:
The recently promulgated Arsenic Rule will require that many new drinking water systems treat their water to remove arsenic. Many groundwaters that have arsenic in their source water will likely consider adsorption technology as a reasonable approach to remove arsenic. Adsorption technology offers several advantages including the systems are simple to operate and produce non-hazardous wastes. This talk discusses arsenic treatment options and focuses on adsorption-based approaches as a means of achieving arsenic removal. Bench, pilot and full scale study results will be used to demonstrate objectives.
