Description: This is a continuing series of consultations between the Office of Water and appropriate committees of the Science Advisory Board (SAB). There has been growing realization that to ensure safe drinking water it is necessary, and efficient, to use mandates of the Clean Water Act (CWA) to protect the quality of sources of drinking water. Likewise it is clear that source water protection programs, research and engineering advances in support of the Safe Drinking Water Act have an impact on water quality and designated uses under the CWA
