Impact/Purpose:

A comparison of the sporicidal activity of free chlorine as commonly used in drinking water treatment was determined for three species of Bacillus. Differences in resistance were observed for spores of Bacillus anthracis Sterne, B. cereus and B. thuringiensis var. israelensis.
