Concentration-Response Functions for Lead and Cardiovascular Mortality
Citation:
Concentration-Response Functions for Lead and Cardiovascular Mortality.
Impact/Purpose:
The purpose of this project is to identify concentration-response functions from the peer-reviewed literature that related blood lead levels to risk of cardiovascular mortality and that are appropriate for application in benefit-cost analysis of environmental policies.
Description:
This project draws upon published, peer-reviewed literature to identify concentration-response functions appropriate for characterizing cardiovascular mortality in adults and blood lead levels. These concentration-response functions can be used to estimate the benefits of reducing lead exposures in adults.
