Impact/Purpose:

People spend 90% of their time indoors where pollutant levels are often higher than outdoors. Furthermore, the effects of poor IEQ on health and productivity can be significant and costly. This guidance will help the public minimize the effects of poor IEQ due to moisture.

Description:

This document provides guidance to designers, construction mangers, and building operation/maintenance managers to improve IEQ and reduce risks of encountering IEQ problems due to insufficient moisture control. EPA will be producing a document entitled "Moisture Control Guidance for Commercial and Public Buildings.
