Description:
Since the mid-1970's EPA has generated a wealth of data on the treatability of organic and inorganic compounds found in industrial and domestic wastewaters, groundwater, leachates, and surface waters. To date, various attempts have been made to organize selected segments of this information, but a comprehensive evaluation and compilation of information encompassing compounds regulated by all pertinent environmental laws has not been undertaken. The major activity was initiated with the overall objective of providing a database on the treatability of priority pollutants and other hazardous compounds in water and wastewater. The database summarizes years of studies on the treatability of priority pollutants and other hazardous compounds.
