Description:

The Mid-Appalachian soil survey was conducted in 1988-89 as Part of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Direct/Delayed Response Project (DDRP). he DDRP is a research program designed to predict the long-term response of watersheds and surface waters in the United States to acidic deposition. his document describes the quality assurance program and operations of the preparation laboratory during the Mid-Appalachian survey and the results of the data quality assessment. he document was prepared primarily for the data users who will utilize the data for prediction and analysis of soil and aquatic responses to acidic deposition. ata quality was evaluated by using quality evaluation and control samples to describe the precision, accuracy, completeness, representativeness, and comparability of the data. ptimizations of the quality assurance program are discussed as well as recommendations for future work.
