EVALUATION OF THE POTENTIAL CARCINOGENICITY OF 1-NAPHTHYLAMINE. U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Washington, D.C., EPA/600/8-91/154 (NTIS PB93196384), 1988.
Description:
The substance 1-Naphthylamine is a possible human carcinogen, classified as weight-of-evidence Group C under the EPA Guidelines for Carcinogen Risk Assessment (U.S. EPA, 986a). vidence on potential carcinogenicity from animal studies is "Limited" and the evidence from human studies is "Inadequate." ata available are inadequate for calculating a potency factor (F) and no quantitative inferences can be made. -naphthylamine is, therefore, assigned to the median patency actor range and placed in potency group 2 under the CAG's methodology for evaluating potential carcinogens (U.S. EPA, 1986b). ombining the weight-of-evidence group and the potency group, 1-naphthylamine is assigned a "LOW" hazard ranking for the purposes of RQ adjustment.
