The purpose and objective for these hydrodynamic and sediments transport models are to support the RI/FS of the Newtown Creek Superfund Site. Primary objective of the Newtown Creek modeling study is to develop a reliable management tool that can be used to • Inform the conceptual site model: Evaluate the efficacy of remedial alternatives. Results of these two models will also feed into the Contaminant fate and bioaccumulation models
