Impact/Purpose:
Water quality monitoring occurred at 9 stations in 6 streams and one municipal wellfield. We identified and evaluated baseline water quality concentrations of choride, sodium and other ions. This information will be used to assess existing environmental water quality conditions prior to proposed I-93 highway improvements as part of EPA NE's review under NEPA.
Description:
Result of a NEPA review of a proposed Federal Highway Authority/Mass DOT project to expand I-93 in Mass. Collected Water Quality data in selected streams potentially impacted by I-93 Stormwater during the winter of 2009- 2010.
