PREDICTING ATTENUATION OF VIRUSES IN PERCOLATING WATER

Citation:

Faulkner*, B P. AND W. G. Lyon. PREDICTING ATTENUATION OF VIRUSES IN PERCOLATING WATER. 9th International Conference on Urban Drainage, Portland, OR, 9/8-13/2002.

Description:

A new screening model developed by EPA can be used to predict the fate of viruses in percolating water. The model can be used even when limited information is available, provided the user is willing to accept the quality and quantity of the data at hand. We present a simple GIS application of the model to illustrate its potential use to urban planners and regulators.
