Simultaneous Compliance and Corrosion Control: Myth versus Reality
Citation:
Schock, M. Simultaneous Compliance and Corrosion Control: Myth versus Reality. Presented at Simultaneous Compliance: Navigating Unintended Consequences 17th Annual Water Quality Symposium, Milford, MA, May 13, 2015.
Impact/Purpose:
To give audience background on a new, more holistic view of corrosion control and how it interrelates to other treatment processes and how to anticipate how changes could impact lead release into drinking water and what corrosion control strategies to choose.
Description:
a segment examining “nuts and bolts” examples of corrosion control strategies that have been implemented and which requiredmodifications when “things did not go according to plan”. The process of an ongoing review of data and feedback gathered on a continuousbasis in “real time” will be covered towards the goal of developing management strategies to “lessen the unpredictability” of changes tocorrosion control and achieve compliance in challenging situations.
