Description:
Dr. Jake Beaulieu was invited to present at the 2014 Green House Gas Emission Modeling workshop hosted by the International Energy Agency (IEA) Hydropower Implementing Agreement for Hydropower Technologies and Programs (IAHTP). The purpose of this workshop is to assemble an international group of experts to develop and publish best practices for modeling greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from water storage reservoirs, including those reservoirs that enable hydropower production. Dr. Beaulieu's presentation will discuss his recent research describing the importance of incorporating intra-reservoir spatial variability and watershed land-use in emission estimates.
