Use of Putative Adverse Outcome Pathways for Chemical Hazard Identification

Citation:

Wood, C. AND B. Chorley. Use of Putative Adverse Outcome Pathways for Chemical Hazard Identification. Board of Scientific Counselors, RTP, NC, November 16 - 18, 2016.

Impact/Purpose:

This poster will be presented at the Board of Scientific Counselors meeting for the CSS National Research Program in Nov 2016.

Description:

The Adverse Outcome Pathway (AOP) framework provides a knowledge infrastructure for evaluating health effects of environmental chemicals. In this work we are examining proof-of-concept issues in the development and prospective application of AOPs in chemical safety. Key outputs include tools for more rapid assembly of AOPs, predictive pathway-based models for screening large chemical sets, and susceptibility biomarkers based on early events in AOPs.
