Impact/Purpose:
The attached is a proposal that will be submitted to the Program Committee for the Coastal and Estuarine Research Federation's 2011 Conference (CERF 2011) to chair a special session at the conference. This session, "Multidisciplinary Evaluations of Ecosystem Services at the Regional Scale", will include presentations that showcase integrated field research, modeling, and/or valuation efforts highlighting the effect of multiple coastal stressors on coastal ecosystems.; research developing indicators of ecological function related to sustainable production of ecosystem goods and services; and integrated social, cultural and economic analyses of ecological systems.
