Impact/Purpose:

The purpose of the workshop is to bring together scientists and policy makers to bring to ammonia as an important pollutant, and discuss the state of atmospheric ammonia policy, science and mitigation. Presenters from multiple countries will insights into these topics from the perspective of their countries. This presentation is a very brief overview of ammonia modeling in the U.S. Topics covered include characterization of ammonia emissions, with a special emphasis on those associated with agricultural crop management, regional scale modeling, process-level modeling, and measurement-model fusion. Presenting these topics at this workshop will provide important peer input on the approaches used and will stimulate discussions with some of the top international scientists in ammonia research.
