Impact/Purpose:

The submitted abstract and presentation is part of an accepted scientific session for the 2019 Society of Toxicology meeting in Baltimore, MD (March 10-14, 2019). The session is bringing together cross-Federal partners involved in development and application of New Approach Methods (NAM) in Human Health Risk Assessment.

Description:

Risk based decisions are diverse under the purview of Program and Regional Offices of the U.S. EPA. Emergency response to spills or chemical releases, site specific prioritization, and human health or ecological assessment are just a few examples of the myriad Agency foci that necessitate expedient assemblage and translation of data that inform potential exposure, hazard, and dose-response for a broad landscape of chemical contaminants. The U.S. EPA's RapidTox dashboard has been developed to fill this need. From physical chemistry properties and environmental fate and transport, to empirical and/or predicted exposures, hazards, and dose-response, the modules within the RapidTox dashboard may revolutionize the efficiency of making critical decisions that impact human health and ecological viability. The views expressed in this abstract are those of the author and do not necessarily represent the views or policies of the U.S. EPA.
