Impact/Purpose:
Presentation to the American Chemistry Council Long Range Research Initiative Strategic Science Team (ACC-LRI-SST) Meeting in October 2018 on the four project areas the National Center for Computational Toxicology (NCCT) supports in the EPA Chemical Safety for Sustainability national program.
Description:
The National Center for Computational Toxicology supports the Chemical Safety for Sustainability (CSS) national program by 1) increasing biological coverage in high-throughput in vitro test systems, 2) systematically addressing the technical limitations of in vitro test systems, 3) continued integration of high-throughput results into tiered testing, 4) characterization of uncertainty and variability, 5) delivery of data and models through decision support tools, and 6) building confidence through regulatory focused case studies.
