National Adaptation Forum (NAF): EPA Special Networking Session

Impact/Purpose:

The purpose of this presentation is to demonstrate why the EPA brought everyone together for this session: to acknowledge and honor the climate adaptation work being done across the country – across disciplines, affiliations, and various groups – and to leverage those different perspectives into actions that can help everyone build a future with more collaborative and integrated climate adaptation practices. Building off of the artwork paired with the Fifth National Climate Assessment, the presentation will consider connections between climate adaptation, the humanities, and the work that participants in the room are doing. This presentation will foster connections between climate adaptation, the humanities, and the work being done by participants in the room who are actively contributing to a different, and hopefully better, future for generations to come.

Description:

This is a set of slides to be used in "scrolling slide" fashion during an EPA Networking Session at the National Adaptation Forum (NAF) in St. Paul, Minnesota on Wednesday, May 15th. The session will feature art from the Fifth National Climate Assessment (NCA5) as part of their effort to bring together sciences and humanities called "ArtxClimate" from the United States Global Change Research Program (USGCRP). Many of the slides are from USGCRP and have been cleared by their communications team.
