Impact/Purpose:

Students in the Environmentally-Engaged Communities and Undergraduate students Investigating for Public health Protection (ECUIPP) lab at the University of North Carolina work on community-based environmental initiatives with their mentor, Dr. Amanda Northcross. This guest lecture will orient students to EPA resources for air quality research as well as ongoing air quality research in collaboration with the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina. Throughout the semester, students will gain hands-on experience by contributing to the ongoing research.

Description:

This presentation will orient undergraduate students to ongoing air quality research in Robeson County and EPA tools for air quality research. The students will be expected to contribute to this research as part of their studies at UNC's department of Environmental Sciences and Engineering.
