Impact/Purpose:
The purpose of this entry is to update the SWMM model with added features of the such as Preissmann Slot, modeling street runoff capture by inlet drains, a Type 5 variable speed pump, and additional Storage Curve options.
Description:
SWMM is a dynamic rainfall-runoff simulation model used for single event or long-term (continuous) simulation of runoff quantity and quality from primarily urban areas. This document describes the additional modeling features that have been added into SWMM’s hydraulic model since the original publication of the SWMM Reference Manual Volume II – Hydraulics (May 2017). This addendum covers the Preissmann Slot, new features for modeling street runoff capture by inlet drains, a Type 5 variable speed pump, and additional Storage Curve options.
