Citation:
Ingwersen, W. Developing Tools for Industrial Ecology at EPA. Developing Tools for Industrial Ecology at EPA, Cincinnati, OH, November 16, 2022.

I was invited by the branch chief of Clean Air Markets Division to share my experience with tool development at EPA. The authors has led the development of an ecosystem of open source tools for use in the area of industrial ecology. This tools were developed out of a need to make more the steps of acquiring, processing and using public environmental and economic data in models more transparent and reproducible. These tools feed into models like USEEIO that have a number of Agency and external uses. The experiences of developing these tools is presented as a backdrop to recommendations on how data, tools can be maintained and shared and how a community can be built around this effort.
