Requested by the SERDP/ESTCP program committee to contribute to the short course on Sustainability Assessment being offered at the SERDP symposium.
Description:
In this presentation, I highlight EPA resources that can be helpful in various ways for either using life cycle thinking, performing site or process assessments of waste, water use, site remediation or chemical process design, or detailed data that can be used to create data for performing life cycle assessments, as well as formatted data ready-to-go for use in LCA software tools. These resources are not intended to provide a full suite of LCA tools. Resources described include the GHG Emission Factor Hub, StEWI, various EPA Emission and Waste Inventories, eGRID, Power Profiler, Federal LCA Commons Data, GREENSCOPE, MSW-DST, WARM, NEWR, SEFA, the SMM Prioritization Tools, Sector Snapshots, and the Supply Chain Emission Factors.
