Impact/Purpose:

There have been over 500k releases from underground storage tanks in the US. These releases can contaminate public and private drinking water resources. US EPA's ORD recently published a dataset on the locations of these UST sites and their proximinty to water resources.

Description:

This presentation will be given at the Esri User Conference. It covers national perspectives on our underground and leaking underground storage tank universe, the age of this univesre, and the potential impact of extreme weather on UST infrastructure. Is focus is on how to leverage GIS and spatial analysis to present complex information to the general public.
