Tools to Identify Lead Service Lines - Delaware
Citation:
Triantafyllidou, S. AND D. Lytle. Tools to Identify Lead Service Lines - Delaware. Ohio Lead And Copper Inventory Workshop, Delaware, OH, May 25, 2023.
Impact/Purpose:
Lead service lines(LSLs) are often the main contributor to lead in household water when present. Many uncertainties in current LSL estimates, however, result in inventories that contain many “unknowns” requiring the need to apply a materials identification approach. The objective of this talk is to summarize LSL identification methods including a deeper discussion of water sampling-based approaches to identify unknown SL materials and provide a summary of the latest related EPA research.
