Description:
The I-WASTE tool enables the estimation of the volume of the generated disaster debris. It also provides information for planning how to handle, transport, treat, and dispose of contaminated waste and debris. The Waste Storage and Staging tool guides the identification and prioritization of locations of staging and storing waste using ArcGIS and Python. Lastly, the Waste Logistics Tool identifies optimal routes for transporting large volumes of waste from a disaster-stricken area to waste management facilities also by means of ArcGIS and Python. The presentation will include several background slides followed by a live demonstration of each of the tools.
