Impact/Purpose:
ORD is interested in thermal treatment methods for PFAS destruction. These methods include incineration, thermal desorption, and pyrolysis/gasification. There are a variety of projects involving thermal treatment of PFAS in both CESER and CEMM. This talk will give a broad overview of select projects. No new data will be presented.
Description:
This talk will introduce the audience to the current research within ORD involving thermal treatment of PFAS-laden media, including biosolids, soils, municipal waste, GAC, and AFFF. No new data will be presented.
