Valin, L., E. Baumann, B. Henderson, J. Szykman, AND D. Williams. The Pandonia Global Network and opportunities to assess TEMPO science and applications. 2024 Geostationary Extended Observations (GeoXO) atmospheric composition instrument (ACX) Science Team Meeting, College Park, MD, May 07 - 09, 2024.
Impact/Purpose:
To present information pertinent in the comparison of backscatter UV/Visible remote sensing of trace gases to ground-based direct sun retrievals of the same.
Description:
The content covers the validation of the NASA TEMPO mission with direct sun and multi-axis retrievals of NO2 and formaldehyde trace gas vertical column products from the Pandonia Global Network. The slides present nuances in the strengths and weakness of Pandonia Global Network data to guide interpretations of TEMPO-vs-PGN comparisons and design of future TEMPO-vs-PGN comparisons, to narrow in to the pertinent biases to be addressed.
