Dataset for SVOC and VBS Analysis of Naval Shipping Exhaust

Impact/Purpose:

Dataset contributes to the understanding of heavy naval exhaust in the SVOC range, including particulate matter. The data may be useful to air quality modeling, understanding health impacts (including environmental justice considerations), and regulation of naval exhaust. This partnership expands contacts with colleagues in OTAQ and CARB.

Description:

This is a dataset in the form of an Excel Spreadsheet. This research was conducted on request from OTAQ (TOCOR for related project was Michael Aldridge), but principle recipients of data will be researchers at CARB and University of California Riverside. The dataset includes quantified data for targeted compounds with full calibrations and VBS data (a non-targeted analysis). The sub-product also includes details on calibrations for the targets and selection of reported values, reports on analytical performance (i.e. internal standard performance, stated MDLs, machine blanks) and the final calculated data. These analyses are governed by the QAPP "Chemical Analysis of Fine Particulate Matter", QTRAX No. 0011018/B. This is from the old QA regime, and not available currently in RAPID. An updated SOP for this QAPP in the modern QA regime is being drafted.
