Impact/Purpose:

The purpose of this presentation is to provide a general overview of the wildfire smoke air monitoring response technology pilot (WSMART), which provides three types of air monitors on loan to state, local, and tribal air monitoring organizations as well as Air Resource Advisors through the Interagency Wildland Fire Air Quality Response Program. This presentation focuses primarily on loans of equipment to tribal organizations over 2022 - 2023. 

Description:

This is a requested short presentation to the Steering Committee of the Tribal Air Monitoring Support (TAMS) Center. The presentation provides an overview of the WSMART project, air monitoring technologies available for loan and summarizes loans to tribal air organizations to address air monitoring data gaps in areas affected by wildfire smoke.
