This presentation is for a workshop by the National Academies titled, "Optimizing Investments for Urban Sustainability Infrastructure". The presentation will address relevant data, analytics. and metric for infrastructure and sustainability and lead into a panel discussion.

Description:

This presentation covers previous and existing research projects on data and community relationships to the built and natural environments. The driving concepts of this research are based in network connectivity that places community infrastructure as the hub by which benefits and damages are transferred to the population. Distribution and characteristics of the environments, infrastructure, and population are discussed as the relate to sustainability and resilience outcomes. Examples of this research are presented from two conceptualizations. Future research and applications of the data, along with data needs and issues, are discussed in the context of more complex network models.
