Description:
This invited presentation is being given as part of the "Planning Committee Virtual Symposium" of the California Air Pollution Control Officers Association. The purpose of the presentation is to introduce GLIMPSE, a decision support tool for long-term air-climate-energy planning. The presentation includes a background information regarding climate and air quality planning challenges, then presents GLIMPSE as a means of tackling these challenges. Next, an illustrative analysis is presented in which GLIMPSE is used to identify a pathway for deep decarbonization and assess the air pollutant emission reduction co-benefits.
