Citation:
Hagler, G., R. Vanderpool, B. Hassett-Sipple, AND T. Hanley. Sarajevo PM2.5 Study. Presentation to Met One and Teledyne API, RTP, North Carolina, May 19, 2021.
Impact/Purpose:
This is a short presentation to summarize a field study that took place in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Two Federal Equivalent Method (FEM) monitors were collocated on a U.S. Embassy building rooftop for comparability evaluation throughout a 15 month period. Preliminary results of that evaluation are shared.
Description:
This slide set shows the comparison between the Met One BAM-1020 and the Teledyne API T640 PM2.5 monitors when operating side-by-side, both of which are designated as Federal Equivalent Method (FEM) instruments. This is a unique data set given the very wide range of concentrations experienced over a 15 month period, with over a 7-fold concentration difference on a monthly average basis comparing winter and summer months. The slide set shows how the two instruments have measurement performance differences at very high concentrations and provides a data adjustment method to improve the comparability.
