Urban/Building-Affected Dispersion: Updates on Analysis with the Jack Rabbit II Experiments and Ongoing Wind Tunnel Experiments

Citation:

Heist, D., M. Pirhalla, AND S. Perrry. Urban/Building-Affected Dispersion: Updates on Analysis with the Jack Rabbit II Experiments and Ongoing Wind Tunnel Experiments. UK-US Air Quality Workshop, NA, North Carolina, November 16 - 17, 2020.

Impact/Purpose:

Urban areas create complicated wind patterns, channeling effects, and localized turbulence that can impact the dispersion of an effluent release. The findings presented here can be used to inform the development of improved wind flow algorithms to better characterize pollutant dispersion in atmospheric dispersion models.
