Description:

In an effort to meet Regional/State/Tribal needs, U.S. EPA’s Office of Research and Development commissioned the PFAS Innovative Treatment Team (PITT) to derive solutions for treatment and disposal of PFAS wastes. The PITT was charged to dedicate unprecedented priority to addressing critical data gaps during their six-month tenure. In addition to various thermal technologies, the PITT also examined a host of developing technologies for PFAS waste treatment.
