Global Water Research Coalition (GWRC) & U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) PFAS Webinar Series: Special Follow up Webinar on Destruction and Disposal, Durham, NC, May 16, 2024.
Impact/Purpose:
The recently issued National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for PFAS destruction and disposal includes the work being done to measure and destroy PFAS, which this presentation covers in general the efforts to answer these questions.
Description:
Reliable and comprehensive PFAS and PFAS-related emission measurement methods are needed for multiple purposes with some in use. Efficacy of combustion and non-combustion applications is important for all media and waste types with encouraging results and laboratory tests continuing. Field scale testing with industry and utility partners is needed in addition to collaboration and partnership both internally and externally. These topics are all covered in this presentation.
