AOP Developer’s Handbook Version 2.6
Impact/Purpose:
This document provides an update to the AOP Developer's Handbook (formerly AOP Users' Handbook). The handbook serves as the primary "instructions for authors" that guides the development of a formal adverse outcome pathway (AOP) description in the AOP-Wiki (aopwiki.org). The current version implements key updates to the AOP framework including: (1) removal of author status and SAAOP status fields found in earlier versions of the handbook; (2) updated information about content licensing in the AOP-Wiki; (3) addition of a coach recognition field; (4) policies related to handbook updates relative to AOP review and endorsement. These updates to the handbook were synced with software updates implementing corresponding features in the AOP-Wiki system. This represents the updates to the electronic version of the AOP Developer's Handbook first released with AOP-Wiki version 2.5. Guidance implemented in the current version of the Handbook is expected to help encourage AOP submissions by protecting the content under active development in the AOP-Wiki, while facilitating its release and public use after development as progressed.
Description:
AOP-Wiki release 2.6 is intended to implement the following feature upgrades/changes to the AOP-Wiki (aopwiki.org): (6) removal of stressor fields from KE and KER pages; (7) introduction of prototypical stressor fields to AOP pages; (8) "searchable but hidden" features for AOPs still under development; (9) enhanced visualization/graphical representation tools; and (10) more prominent fields for collecting information regarding modulating factors.
