Description:
The working group Best Practices (formerly Benchmarking and Publications) for Non-Targeted Analysis (BP4NTA) was formed in 2018 and launched the website, nontargetedanalysis.org, in 2020. Since that time, multiple online resources have been developed to support the non-targeted screening, or non-targeted analysis (NTA), community. First, the Study Reporting Tool (SRT), which is available for download, helps standardize NTA reporting by guiding NTA researchers in reporting their results, conducting peer-reviews, and can even be used to help design NTA studies. The SRT is supported by a compendium of reference content developed by several leading experts in the field of NTA. The website also hosts a discussion forum where users are free to ask questions on any NTA-related topic and visitors are free to search and browse previously posted questions and replies. Visitors to the website can peruse a literature library containing several hundred references to NTA-related publications which can be sorted, searched, and downloaded. A jobs board is regularly updated to serve job seekers. An events page contains information about upcoming conferences and workshops with specific times and locations for BP4NTA member presentations or sessions of particular interest to the NTA community. Resource pages connect visitors to software tools, databases and libraries, and mass spectrometry vendors. Finally, visitors can learn about the BP4NTA working group and easily become a member through an online form. The views expressed do not represent agency policy.
