Impact/Purpose:
This talk will describe what is known and what is needed in terms of determining ecological risks of PFAS, a high priority group of chemicals to EPA.
Description:
PFAS are a class of chemicals of concern in terms of both potential human health and ecological risk. Unfortunately, little is known concerning possible exposures and effects of PFAS for most organisms in the environment. This brief presentation will provide an overview of the current state-of-the-science in terms of what is known about PFAS ecotoxicology and provide recommendations for research to address existing data gaps.
