Impact/Purpose:
Presentation to the PFAS Science call for State and Tribal partners October 2023
Description:
The Clean Water Act requires Office of Water (OW) to evaluate chemicals that occur in biosolids for harm to human health and the environment. OW developed a screening tool (BST) to evaluate risk for these chemicals. A prioritization process is needed to help determine which chemicals should be considered for full risk assessment. The PICS process (Public Information Curation and Synthesis) is being used.
